For budget renters, price and deposit size matter — together they're 30% of this ranking's weight — but so does not getting caught out by unclear insurance terms or a clunky booking flow. Yango Drive tops it (8.5/10) on that fuller picture, with eZhire (8.4/10) the cheaper runner-up if a rock-bottom daily rate and zero deposit matter more to you than anything else.
How we scored ↓Yango Drive wins Cheap because it holds up well on every criterion, not just price — its deposit and daily rate aren't the lowest of the 8, but nothing about it is a compromise either. If a strictly lower headline price and zero deposit matter more to you than that balance, eZhire is the closest and cheaper alternative.

← scroll for more →"Cheap" in Dubai car rental usually means one of two things: a low headline daily rate from a traditional rental, or a pay-per-minute car-sharing app with no fixed contract at all. The two aren't directly comparable — a car-sharing app can look cheaper per trip but doesn't work for a multi-day rental the way a traditional service does.
This ranking still weights price and deposit meaningfully (30% combined) since those are what a budget renter actually pays out of pocket, but balances them against insurance transparency, pick-up & delivery and app experience — a service that's cheap because it cuts corners elsewhere doesn't score well here either.

"Flew into T3 at 1am and the app already knew my flight had landed — car was in bay 14 of P2, key in the glovebox lockbox, gone in under 5 minutes. Deposit hold cleared 3 days after return exactly like the app said it would."
"Booked the monthly plan for a 6-week stay and it worked out noticeably cheaper than the daily rate elsewhere. No deposit hold was a relief on a new UAE bank card. Only gripe: had to grab a taxi from T2 to their T1 desk."
"Used it for a Friday afternoon Mall of the Emirates run — found a Kia four minutes' walk from my apartment, unlocked from the app, parked it back in the same zone. Cheaper than a taxi there and back."
"Booked a Huracán for a bachelor weekend — coordinator met us airside within 10 minutes of landing, no counter queue. Insurance excess was higher than a normal rental so budget for that, but the car was immaculate."
"Grabbed a promo rate that beat every app-based service that week — AED 85/day on a Sunny. Counter process at T3 took maybe 15 minutes including the walkthrough."
